KLJF : any good intelligent person can see straight trough Peterson to his corrupt soul .
hierarchy DOES come from money .
hunter gatherers ONLY have age and experience as an order of authority , money creates hereditary power that is unnatural .
Abhishek Mangaraj : With Artificial Intelligence, progress would be highly independent of humans. So, there will be less oppression by the hierarchy.
innn : Haha the bullshit is strong with the Professor. I guess Jesus was wrong too Mr. Peterson because he wasn't a scientist. Mark 9 35 reveals this: 'Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, “Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all.” '
[GD] Annoe : Cool kids still....
I’m fine with working harder and all other hierarchies but
COOL KIDS.
This sucks.
Nixolai Frenier : Very nice
Colin Ference : Absolutely insane that this guy is literally defending the power structure of the world while presenting himself as a dark dissident intellectual lol, what a hack
Celtic Revival / Adfywiad Celtaidd : Guess who love hierarchies? Beta cucks
Captain Nemo : Fck "G" MASONS AND ALL SEEING EYE
Tapashya Rasaily : Every society has heirarchies....west is the most egalitarian society we have....
hasbroslatestglitch : We as human being can think and CREATE economic hierarchies that benefit everyone, him just saying that "hierarchies that cause massive inequality are just and inevitable part of life built into our nervous system", what is he even talk about and where is his evidence based research for that?? This guy just talks endlessly about all his theories about life and everyone just listens and believes anything he says, is there any point to this??

Why Maslow's Hierarchy Of Needs Matters

Maslow's Hierarchy, (or Pyramid), of Needs is one of the central ideas in modern economics and sociology. The work of a once little-known American psychologist, it has grown into an indispensable guide to understanding the modern world. This film explains who Maslow was, what his pyramid is, and why it matters so much.

“One of the most legendary ideas in the history of psychology is located in an unassuming triangle divided into five sections referred to universally simply as ‘Maslow’s Pyramid of Needs’.

This profoundly influential pyramid first saw the world in an academic journal in the United States in 1943, where it was crudely drawn in black and white and surrounded by dense and jargon-rich text. It has since become a mainstay of psychological analyses, business presentations and online lectures – and grown ever more colourful and emphatic in the process…”

MYDOLOGY. : Thanks
Stas Mureyko : The search for the purpose in life is not a lifelong journey. When one looks through the different isms and belief systems of the world, they quickly realize that Islam stands out and that it truly offers a balance between the material and the spiritual. Nothing else would do that. Its biggest evidence though is the pure monotheistic beliefs in the Creator.
Valdemar : I am very curious as the what your sources for the pyramid is, as Maslow in his 1943 paper, "A Theory of Human Motivation" published in Psychological Review, 50, 370-396, does not include such a pyramid, furthermore Maslow explicitly states that the theory, although being a hierarchy is neither fixed, nor as rigid as the most consider. Maslow then explains various examples of situations where the hierarchy of individuals differ from what he experience as being the norm amongst his test subjects.
From what I can gather from the literature, Maslow actually distances himself, and his theory, from the pyramid, because he sees is as misleading, and disruptive to his research.
If anyone has any publications from Maslow himself, including the pyramid it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
Brian Arbenz : Very fine piece -- I'm learning a lot about Abraham Maslow in this period of my life after emerging from a long period of troubles. My life right now also relates to the only problem in this vid. I am 62, and that was the age Maslow lived to. (He died unexpectedly of a heart attack.) You say "Toward the end of his long life" Maslow called for businesses to emphasize meeting people's higher needs. If he lived a long life, then I'm about done. Of course, his point was achieving self-actualizing, rather than longevity, is the best measure. And I'm far from done at that. Maslow's ideas are helping me and I feel much gratitude toward him. And I just stumbled on your channel and I like your way of explaining things!
Lady Bird Starshine : He even kept the teepee...
Another thief of indigenous peoples intellectual knowledge
BrotherTree1 : Whilst Maslow makes a point with various dimensions of needs, it's fundamentally wrong in that it assumes sequential order to achieve one before the other. And because of that, it doesn't have any correlation to moral character. Also it's comparatively more superficial and materialistic with that assumption than a more deeper, meaningful and spiritual consideration in the philosophical analysis... and so it's not very well balanced in my opinion and may lead to impractical situations when applied. And also, priorities of needs change across time and vary upon various situations... and also one need identified can generate a multitude of value/need hierarchies, where each hierarchy ranks differently in the range of needs. And more complex than this, even just one of those needs instantiates an inter-relationship with other needs to some degree or another, depending what is valued and therefore prioritized at a given time. So it's definitely not a linear, singular, sequential process. It may be for one given time, but that's only accounting for one given time. What about across time?

Having said that though, it does outline a decent rough summary of our basic needs in order to physically/biologically survive from a mostly objective viewpoint. So on that basis, yes, Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs does matter because it's a good rough draft of beginning to re-orient yourself... it's just that there'll need to be adjustments made to suit various individual and collective needs at given times.
Izabel : I brought the book on amazon and decided to watch some videos to further my knowledge, personally one thing I want to take note of yes it’s a pyramid with levels to this but when one need is not being met it can effect all the others and when one need has not been met for so long it becomes the only thing we strive for disregarding the others watching this happen to me , others around me is besides sad, not talked about enough why don’t we learn this in school ,Balance is really important
Chris Ulfen : This channel is ran by biased, hypocritical, and amoral capitalists.
Hoof Grip Weightlifting : iT'S TIME TO CHALLENGE THIS. FREEDOM SHOULD BE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PYRAMID. WITHOUT FREEDOM, WE ARE SLAVES.

Hierarchy, Should We Accept It?

Hierarchy is a highly debated system of structure in our world, especially given the amount of protests on equality that we have these days. Are we really fighting for equality in the world of Hierarchy or are we fighting for our best interests to be considered. And whats the difference between Hierarchy and Equality. In this episode, Teal Swan tackles this most controversial subject.

Ava J Lawrence : God she's AMAZING
Tgsnette Shafran : I'm starting you completion process
Tgsnette Shafran : I've been equal in my job until now in this conservative time. I'm waiting for a more liberal time. Am I wrong for equality when I had it for 30 years until 4 years ago. I guess I am triggered. I will try to see through this.
JOHN WEBB : No hierarchy means chaos. Command and control is needed for a group to achieve a goal; people with more experience and education than another person in a group should be at a higher level of authority than those with less; in a group some people have to gather information and others, higher up, have to make decisions on that information.
Irene Mccollum : There's nothing better than relatable Truth
Ha Na : Watching this again as the blm protests happening right now. Many people are fighting for themselves, but the majority are fighting for a change in the justice system and a change in the accountability of the police force as these two systems have had many cases of abusing their power.
Teresa Ramirez : What if my parents say they know what’s is actually my best interest because they know the truth and I don’t therefore know my real interest relative to their true religion. A religion of which I don’t share but of which I am put in a position of fear of them due to their position of of authority. And I always feel like everything is wrong with me because they guilt me making me feel I am wrong and the only thing to fix me is the True catholic religion which they deem the TRUTH. It is honestly so much more complicated than this and I just can’t put into words. Sometimes I feel like showing them your videos but the fear of a negative and destroying reaction to all the pain I feel from what they have caused—Also a pain which I don’t know why is there because I do see pure and good hearts in their intentions—scares the heck out of me. And it’s so confusing to me. I honestly don’t even know how this has affected me all I know is that the only thing that keeps me breathing at this point is all of you videos. But I ask myself why?..
Angelica Force : You have summed up where my lifetime of trauma has come from and thus why I was so exhausted from struggling against. I finally gave in and went on daily anti-anxiety drug (lorazepam/ativan) last July 2019, and after 2.5 months it took me down the darkest rabbit hole of trancelike depression ALL IN ONE NIGHT OVER 5 HOURS, that I tried to take my own life (09/21/19) waking up in Trauma hospital after surviving self inflicted GSW to my head, that didn't enter my brain but bounced out my right eye, resulting in one (mono vision). Thus having my 'great awakening' in the 92 days of hospitalisation and everyday since forward (which I had been working on regularly, trying to up my frequency, and calm my inner self and have more discipline with my mind for at least 3 years, but which hadn't brought about any change, results or feeling of integration) which I totally feel now as of my 'dark night of the soul incident.' Every day now I discover new things about myself and interactions, most are little things that add up to me being aware of a wider picture but this video today is like the dynamite that just imploded my personal casino so I may lay a new foundation.

Thank you for your work, esp this, with all my heart. I now have a new ground zero upon which to build upon. And finally, I discovered you because of the Ralph Smart interview you just did. Very kind of you to answer all questions he is having too. Much Gratitude.
