Canon eos 350D - A Fun Vintage DSLR to Use :-)
The Canon eos 350D came out during the time when digital cameras were trying to win photographers who were shooting analogue cameras over. So the look of the images coming out of this camera (as well as many other DSLRs from that era) will give a very unique / "vintage digital" look. Furthermore, since this camera can be found for about 30 euros with kit lens in many of the used market, it just makes it much more accessible as well as more fun to give it a go and experiment it. In this video I will give you my thoughts on the camera and why I recommend the camera, hope you can take something away from the video!

Of which its images were considered to be of really high quality in relation to the price
Anyhow, I think this camera is perfect if you want a bit of a retro digital vibe.
@stablewaydevon9913 : Thanks for the video. I bought a 350D when it first came out and still use it for its "vintage digital" jpegs, especially for family portraits. The best thing I bought was the vertical battery grip which never leaves the body. Certainly a recommended camera for a beginner. In fact my son has one too!

Canon's Digital Rebel XT (EOS 350D, EOS Kiss N) was an entry-level camera that today holds the title of one of the most venerable and reliable of the old Canon DSLRs. These cameras have withstood significant abuse and most of the XT cameras that I've seen have exhibited significant abuse, yet they continue to run well. At 8 megapixels, the images from the Rebel XT are small, but still suitable for use as a learning camera or for casual photography that can be printed to around 11X14.

@jondv5278 : I can confirm windows 10 (on my pc) does indeed recognize the camera when plugged in, just make sure communications option in settings 2 is switched to Print/PTP, flash card is then readable and files can be transferred
@laranitasantana : I still own mine. I bought it new in 2006. Took around 100,000 shots. I cleaned the sensor, the camera still looks and works like new

@midlifemulligan6505 : Looking for a second camera for my partner (so we can both learn photograpy) and found one of these for $100 with a sigma 17-85mm lens. This may have convinced me to grab it (I have a very small budget to work with). Thanks so much for the info!

Using A Canon 350D/Rebel XT In 2022 - 4K POV
I took my Canon 350D and my youngest son Leo for a walk around Hessle Foreshore close to the Humber Bridge just to see how the 16 year old camera held up and while the Canon 350D did take 1 photograph that I liked, the one in the thumbnail, I think this camera has had its time.
About an hour after getting home I had a trade lined up for a micro four thirds lens and my Canon 350D went. So long old friend we did have some good times, this was the camera that started it all for me. But time has left it behind and maybe, just maybe, someone else will buy it and enjoy it as much as I did.
And now I'm going to cry.
